La micrograf\u00eda corresponde a la granulaci\u00f3n del papel rectificador empleado. Con el uso de cintas de rectificado de grano 40 hasta grano 800 existe un amplio margen de micrograf\u00edas entre el que elegir en funci\u00f3n de la aplicaci\u00f3n y el uso de la pieza de trabajo. Todas las piezas alojadas en rodamientos giratorios se encuentran en rodamientos de bolas cerrados, lubricadas con grasa y provistas de dispositivos de protecci\u00f3n verificados. Las cintas de rectificado se pueden cambiar de forma r\u00e1pida y sencilla, ya sea cuando est\u00e9n desgastadas o ya sea porque se deben sustituir por otra granulaci\u00f3n diferente. La m\u00e1quina rectifica en seco; no obstante, resulta mejor emplear el dispositivo de rectificado mojado integrado para atrapar y eliminar de inmediato el polvo durante el proceso de rectificado. Mediante el uso del m\u00e9todo de rectificado mojado se obtienen por lo general resultados \u00f3ptimos de rectificado. Adem\u00e1s, el rectificado mojado garantiza un enfriamiento de la pieza de trabajo.
